Kathmandu, Nepal – February 5, 2025 – The Pilot Association of Nepal (PAN) marked a historic milestone with its inaugural interaction event, held on February 5, 2025, at Bajeko Sekuwa, Battisputali. The event, expertly anchored by Capt. Janak Adhikari as the Master of Ceremony (MC), united pilots, aviation stakeholders, and enthusiasts to chart a collaborative path forward for Nepal’s aviation sector.
Capt. Janak Adhikari, serving as the Master of Ceremony, opened the event with an engaging introduction, setting the tone for an informal yet impactful dialogue. He shared PAN’s vision, objectives, and the critical need for unity among Nepali pilots. Addressing misconceptions about the association, he clarified, “PAN is dedicated solely to the welfare of pilots. This is not about job insecurity or conflicts, but about collective growth and support.” He emphasized the importance of teamwork and announced plans for monthly events, urging sponsors to collaborate for sustained success.
The MC introduced PAN’s innovative sticker fundraising initiative (NPR 100 per sticker) to support the association’s activities, while also unveiling plans for a dedicated website, social media platforms, and a mobile app to streamline communication.

Acknowledging the board’s behind-the-scenes efforts, he stressed the need for broader participation to achieve PAN’s goals. He proposed Pilot-ATC interaction programs and collaborations with international associations like the International Federation of Airline Pilots’ Associations (IFALPA).
Capt. Suraj Bhandari(Executive Member):
Positioning PAN as both an event organizer and a knowledge-sharing hub, he revealed future plans to advocate for academic recognition of vocational aviation degrees through CTEVT or other bodies, inspired by India’s model. He cautioned against divisive pursuits of power, urging members to prioritize the association’s long-term vision.
Capt. Rohit. Malla (President):
Calling for solidarity, he declared, “The foundation is laid. Now, unity will drive our mission forward.”
Closing Session & Networking:
Wrapping up as MC, Capt. Adhikari highlighted PAN’s focus on critical issues like loss of license protections and invited attendees to an informal networking session over tea and coffee. First Officer Vikrant Kafle briefed the media on the event’s outcomes, ensuring PAN’s vision reached a wider audience.
