The airline is currently operating four commercial flights per week to Nepal using Airbus A320 aircraft. Due to increasing demand, it plans to deploy the larger Airbus A330-200 series aircraft on this route.
With a consistently high passenger occupancy rate of 90% on the Sri Lanka-Nepal route, SriLankan Airlines has now added another Airbus to cater to growing demand. This move signals strong potential and increasing possibilities for air connectivity between Sri Lanka and Nepal.
How much further can Nepal-Sri Lanka aviation grow?
According to GSA Zenith Travels, SriLankan Airlines is finalizing preparations to introduce flights using the Airbus A330-200 series, which has greater passenger capacity compared to the A320.
